Current Volunteer Opportunities

Alpenglow Mountainfilm on Tour | November 2nd, 4pm - 9pm
Alpenglow Sports is hosting their sixth annual screening of Mountainfilm on Tour North Lake Tahoe. The event will feature films that are thought-provoking, educational, and awe-inspiring as they relate to themes including adventure, social justice, environment, and the human spirit. Both nights will benefit the Truckee Roundhouse and we are looking for volunteers to help set up, clean up, run the bar, and sell raffle tickets!

FixIt Clinic | November 4th, 4pm - 7pm
Keep Truckee Green and the Truckee Roundhouse are excited to bring back our Fixit Clinic and are searching for volunteers to be "Fixit Coaches" for the event. Volunteers will help community members repair broken items, keeping waste out of the landfill, and providing a second life to usable products! Fixit Coach support is needed for woodwork, metal work, electrical, sewing, and general handy work. This is a fun event getting people excited about using their hands and thinking about repair before creating waste.

Holiday Block Party | December 12, 4:30pm - 8:30pm
J
oin our team of elves at the 2024 Holiday Block Party! This is a festive holiday celebration with our neighbors at non-profit row, Sierra Community House and Tahoe Food Hub. Be a part of the team who makes it all happen! We are looking for volunteers to help with parking, event set up and tear down, and more.

Front Desk Core Volunteers

These volunteers are the Roundhouse’s front-line greeters: they offer the first impression for visitors, potential donors, new students, and prospective members, provide support for our members, and keep our space safe and secure.

Shop Lead Core Volunteers

These volunteers are highly skilled and knowledgeable in one of our shops – Textiles, Metal Shop, Wood Shop, Technology or Ceramics. They assist with New Member Safety Check-outs or host Mentoring Hours to ensure all of our members are safe and comfortable to work in the space independently.

Event Volunteers

This is another way to get involved with our makerspace and interact with the community. We are always looking for day-of volunteer help at our events, the largest being our annual Maker Show every June.
