You do not need to be a member to take a class – in fact, joining us for a class is a great way to get acquainted with the space and explore different ways to be creative!
Cancellations made 72 hours or more in advance will receive a Roundhouse class credit. Cancellations made 72 hours or less are non-refundable and non-transferable. Roundhouse class credit may be issued for medical or family emergencies. Due to our limited class sizes, we kindly ask that you give us as much advance notice as possible - not showing up for a class without communication affects our ability to offer valuable programming to our community.

LGBTQIA+ Craft Workshops
In our continued efforts to be an inclusive and safe space for all makers in the community, the Truckee Roundhouse Community Makerspace hosts monthly workshop series geared at engaging local LGBTQIA+ makers.
These free to low-cost workshops aim to provide queer creatives with a space to generate ideas, explore, learn, and be supported in the community. Expert mentors and instructors will guide activities focused on creative play, exploration, and self-expression, including hand-sewn upcycled tiny stuffed animals, custom vinyl shirt designs, tie-dying, encaustic painting, and a woodworking project.
All classes are open to students aged 16 - adult, at any experience level. Space is limited, and to join, participants must reserve their spot online at the calendar above. We kindly ask that everyone only reserve a space if they plan to attend the class -- canceling or not attending decreases our ability to serve the community with this free resource.
Keep Truckee Green Monthly Mending & Repair Workshops
In 2023, in response to the overwhelming amount of clothing we saw needing repair at our Fix-It Clinics, we launched free Monthly Mending and Repair Workshops to teach our community how to repair clothing instead of throwing it away.
Together with Keep Truckee Green, we offer classes in patching, visible mending, winter gear repair, darning, zipper replacement, and much more to reduce textile waste while teaching new skills to the community.
